Equalized Climbing Guides

Equalized Climbing Guides is a guide service based out of the Tahoe area. We operate in the Tahoe and Stanislaus National Forests, guiding individuals, families, school groups, and corporate teams on rock climbing experiences across some of the best terrain in the Sierra Nevada.

Every program is led by guides with current AMGA certifications and Wilderness First Responder training. We  tailor each day to your goals and ability level, and take the safety and quality of your experience seriously — whether it’s your first time on rock or you’re working on specific skills.

We climb out of several areas across both forests. In the Tahoe National Forest, that means Donner Summit, Big Chief, Cold Stream Canyon, The Emeralds, and Indian Springs — solid granite and excellent variety, all close to Truckee and Reno. In the Stanislaus National Forest, we guide the Sonora Pass corridor along Highway 108, where the terrain is more remote, the rock includes granite, basalt, and volcanic formations, and the setting is hard to beat.

Our programs include an Intro to Outdoor Rock Climbing course, full and half-day private guiding, family and kids climbing, school group trips, corporate events, an Intro to Multi-Pitch course, and the Sonora Pass Trad Climbing Retreat. All gear is provided. No prior experience needed for beginner programs.
