Whether you’ve just started building stoke for gear or you’re ready to start leading safely, this retreat blends technical instruction, community, and unforgettable granite to get you there.

What You’ll Learn

  • How confidently to place and assess Traditional gear like cams, nuts

  • Anchor building using traditional gear or bolts in many different configurations

  • Crack Climbing Movement and Technique

  • Racking and Gear Management

  • Belaying from above and building safe and sound belay anchors

  • Mock leads and coached placements on real rock

  • Intro to multi-pitch systems and rope management

  • Setting up top ropes, and risk management

  • Cleaning gear efficiently and avoiding rookie mistakes

Retreat Includes

  • 2 full days of hands-on instruction with AMGA-trained guides

  • Camping Spot Sonora Pass
